Looking for a career in design-related job roles, but do not know where to start? Check out the design Career Conversion Programmes (CCPs) available today! CCPs are targeted at Professionals, Managers, Executives and Technicians (PMETs), including mid-career switchers, to undergo industry-recognised training, reskill and take on new job roles in growth areas.

Participating companies can also access a wider pool of candidates when hiring through CCPs.

CCP for Content Strategists Association of Advertising and Marketing Singapore
  • Aims to reskill and train local PMETs to take up job roles such as content lead, content strategist and community manager

  • Supports the Singapore Furniture Industries Council’s 2021 industry roadmap to establish Singapore as the Asia hub that influences urban living for the future

  • Aims to reskill and develop local PMETs to take up job roles such as digital marketing strategist, digital advertising manager, and creative designer
  • Trains local PMETs in digital marketing and data analytics, web development and applications, and user interface and user experience

CCP for Design Professionals (UX/UI) Chatsworth Medi@rt Academy 
  • Upskills and develops an executive or managerial level employee with non-UX/UI related working experience, into a UX/UI design-related position within the organisation
  • Helps to enhance an individual’s employability as a UX/UI designer with relevant and current skills acquired through hands-on classroom training by experienced practitioners, and real-time experience in the field through On-Job-Training in a new company

  • Targeted at mid- to team-lead level PMETs without any prior experience and/ or training in UX/UI, or any experience design-related fields
  • Aims to facilitate transition of mid-career PMETs from non-design professions and other design disciplines to perform emerging UX/UI digital roles

Who is eligible to apply?

To qualify for the CCP, jobseekers/new hires must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident aged 21 years and above;

  • New hires must have graduated or completed National Service (if applicable), whichever is later, at least two years at the point of application;

  • Must not have prior working experience/formal education in the same industry or have undertaken related job roles;

  • Must be a newly hired PMET for not more than three months, and nominated by an eligible company for the CCP;

  • Must not be a shareholder of the participating company, or its related companies;

  • Must not be related to the owner(s) of the participating company, or its related companies; and

  • Must not be an immediate ex-employee of the participating company, or its related companies.

Applicants will go through the participating companies’ screening and selection process, similar to any job application.

What can applicants expect when undergoing a CCP?

  • Selected CCP trainees will go through six months of training comprising classroom training and structured on-the-job training with the hiring company.

  • CCP trainees may expect a starting monthly gross salary of $2,500 and above.

How can companies participate?

Companies interested in participating in the CCPs must fulfil the following:

  • Be registered or incorporated in Singapore with a valid Unique Entity Number with the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority;

  • Offer a full-time PMET position, with a minimum monthly gross salary of $2,500, and at least a 12-month employment contract;

  • Offer employment in job roles relevant to the above-mentioned CCPs, with remuneration that is aligned to the market rate; and

  • Have the knowledge and capacity to provide structured on-the-job training for the candidate.

Financial support available to companies

Eligible hiring companies will receive salary support and course fee subsidy during the CCP training duration.

* Applicable for long-term unemployed Singapore Citizen (SC) trainees and/or SC trainees aged 40 years and above.  Long-term unemployed is defined as unemployed and looking for a job for six months or more.

** Applicable for SC/Singapore Permanent Resident trainees placed in SMEs, or SC trainees aged 40 years and above.
