Celebrating Singapore’s bold ideas for world-building, the exhibition will explore new visions for thinking, living and designing global futures.

The biennial summit officially launched Glitch, a design-based learning tool to be available across all 337 schools under the Ministry of Education, alongside a companion guide for teachers.

The festival celebrates six decades of design shaping the nation and paves the way for a refreshed format ahead as part of the Design Masterplan 2035.

Festival kicks off with four vibrant Design Districts, an expanded EMERGE @ FIND showcase, and exciting new collaborations at the ArtScience Museum, Singapore River Festival, and Jalan Besar.

On the occasion of the nation’s 60th year of independence, the festival examines what design holds for the future of Singapore and beyond.

The fourth edition injects fresh perspectives from first Singaporean co-curator and features a bold line-up
of new designers joining from China, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan.

This year’s diverse crop of recipients spotlights the transformative role of design in shaping inclusive communities and resilient environments as well as enhancing user experience and urban heritage.

Singapore, 26 June 2025 – As Singapore celebrates 60 years of its independence, DesignSingapore Council (Dsg) officially launches Nation by Design, a campaign spotlighting how design is core to the Singaporean DNA, which has driven our city state’s progress in the last six decades.
