International Design Awards Scheme (IDEAS)
IDEAS supports and amplifies award-winning Singapore design projects internationally, strengthening Singapore’s positioning as a global hub for design excellence.
Overview of IDEAS
IDEAS is a pilot initiative by the DesignSingapore Council (Dsg) under the Design 2035 Masterplan that seeks to bring Singapore’s design capabilities onto the world stage, by supporting award-winning projects at leading international design awards and competitions.
Through reimbursement-based financial support and curated publicity support, IDEAS helps defray award-related costs, boosts your profile, and brings greater visibility to your work.
Why Apply for IDEAS?
At Dsg, we want to support internationally recognised award-winning projects beyond the award moment, translating global recognition into sustained visibility of your achievements, meaningful connections, and new opportunities.
- Financial support for award-related costs:
IDEAS provides reimbursement-based financial support to defray a portion of eligible costs associated with winning selected whitelisted international design awards and competitions, subject to a maximum cap. - Extend your visibility beyond the award:
Your achievement does not stop at the award stage. Through Dsg’s platforms, your work may be showcased to wider audiences, helping you remain visible and relevant beyond the award cycle. We seek to extend post-award recognition through curated and credible amplification. This can be done through e.g. social media publicity via Dsg’s channels and website, and potential media pitching. - Become part of a wider network:
Join a growing network of designers, innovators, and industry partners. Through Dsg’s initiatives and programmes, you may be considered for opportunities to connect, collaborate, and exchange ideas, supporting your continued growth and reach.
