Delight, Hope, Inspiration – What do these emotions have to do with design?
In a first ever collaboration between the President*s Design Award Singapore (P*DA) and the Golden Pin Design Award Taiwan (GPDA), this webinar brings together award recipients from both countries to discuss and exchange perspectives, drawing on their respective cultures.
The four designers will share case studies and discuss how design can be used to evoke emotional responses to create impact and serve a greater purpose. Learn how design can communicate serious issues in creative ways that speak to hearts and minds, and how spaces can be designed to bring delight and promote harmony.

About the Golden Pin Design Award (GPDA)
Established in 1981, Taiwan’s GPDA is the most influential design award in the global Huaren market. The planning and handling of the awards, the prize-giving ceremony, and all other related events are executed by Taiwan Design Research Institute (TDRI). In 2015, the GPDA launched three separate award competitions – the Golden Pin Design Award, the Golden Pin Concept Design Award, and the Young Pin Design Award. While each award targets a different demographic, the purpose of each is to commend outstanding innovation in design.
This event is part of the National Design Centre’s “Emotive Design” programme line-up for March 2021.
