The School of X is a classroom without walls, where people from all walks of life come together to solve community or business challenges through design thinking. Working with experienced design facilitators and challenge sponsors, you will learn how to turn problems into opportunities, craft new ideas to solve them, and test your solutions out in the real world.

WHO SCHOOL OF X IS FOR

School of X is for anyone who wants to build the skills and confidence to tackle persistent and difficult issues. Using design thinking — which involves a series of activities and tools that place people at the heart of creative problem solving — you can generate a positive impact in the world around you.

You do not need to be artistic, or have specific qualifications, to be part of School of X. You simply need to be curious, open-minded, and willing to collaborate to create change.

Our projects bring communities together with public agencies, non-profit organisations, and businesses to address shared challenges, whilst learning together and co-designing solutions that can be rolled out.

Examples include:

The School of X programme offers 3 separate roles depending on how you’d like to participate.

WHAT SCHOOL OF X OFFERS

School of X will provide the necessary support while collaborating together to design a better Singapore. The 3 roles of Participant, Design Facilitator, and Challenge Sponsor will have access to a framework that includes tools, workshops and more, with a network of partners from the industry and public sector to tap into.

Will you choose to be an agent of change today?

SOLVING FOR X

Centre for Fathering

The organisation embarked on a Design Thinking workshop to generate innovative solutions for the complex problems they felt overwhelmed by. Additionally, they hoped to equip their staff with the skills and mindsets to be able to solve such challenges themselves, into the future.
