What do we love about Singapore? What would make us love Singapore more? Our success as a nation must encompass a Singapore where the human spirit flourishes, where we have a deeper sense of emotional attachment and pride to our nation beyond just mere utility or material benefit.
In the first part of this webinar on 31 August (view it here), we talked about the various elements that shape loveability in Singapore, including citizen participation and agency, expressions of loveability, and the relationship with ideas of resilience, pain and commitment.
In this second part, practitioners across diverse fields of design and the built environment draw the focus to how we may design innovative and inclusive communities and environments to meet our needs and aspirations, and transform Singapore into a more flourishing, and resilient home for all.
This event is part of the National Design Centre’s “Singapore: Our Home” programme line-up for August-September 2020. It is proudly organised by the DesignSingapore Council in partnership with Centre for Liveable Cities, Deloitte Center for the Edge, Housing Development Board, Participate in Design, the Urban Redevelopment Authority, and in support of the SG Together movement.
