Details
School of Tomorrow (SOT) rings in the second term at New Bahru this year to continue to tackle the topic of sustainability through design, creativity and wit to engage children and adults on environmental issues and innovations.
SOT brings back the well-loved ‘classes’ from its first edition at Singapore Design Week last year to spotlight environmental issues in fresh ways. In addition, the second term features a new topic developed in partnership with social impact hub Temasek Shophouse (TSH) – History Class. Visitors will get to explore 11 familiar subjects (from Science to History) reimagined with a focus on sustainability, and exploring critical issues like waste, pollution, energy and climate change. Delve into the interconnected topics of heritage preservation and sustainable living with TSH’s free fireside chats on conservation & sustainability. Register here.
Another exciting new addition is the school bookshop – completed with merchandise available for purchase. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the bookshop merchandise will go to the World Wildlife Fund-Singapore’s Eco-Schools Programme.
Need a school orientation? Fret not, this term continues to offer free guided tours led by ‘class monitors’ to provide visitors with a deeper understanding of the environmental issues. Limited spots available, sign up here!
