Have you ever considered the design potential of the flora all around us in Singapore?

This Humid House partners with the National Design Centre for a live-streamed talk and design demonstration within the Garden Dreaming exhibition gallery. While crafting a large-scale floral installation for the exhibition, John Lim (founder of This Humid House) will talk about the studio’s design approach, sustainable sourcing methods, and relationship with the floral ecosystem in Singapore and the region.

Don’t miss this chance to see botanical design in action!

Programme Schedule

  • 15-20 mins: Introduction and sharing
  • 30 mins: Live demonstration of Garden Dreaming installation
  • 10mins: Q&A

About This Humid House
This Humid House comprises a team of designers with experience across the fields of fine art, architecture, floristry, horticulture and landscape design. Our intention is to develop a language expressed through plants and flowers that is reflective of our climate, geography and collective culture.

This workshop accompanies the ongoing exhibition Garden Dreaming.

Presented by the DesignSingapore Council in partnership with This Humid House, and supported by Gardens by the Bay and the National Design Centre.

This event is part of the National Design Centre’s “Casting Hope” programme line-up for April – May 2021.
