DesignSingapore Council x UNIQLO Singapore Design Challenge – Mottainai: Old Clothes, New Life
LifeWear seeks inspiration from life’s needs, simple yet made of the highest quality. As UNIQLO continues to deliver clothing that improves the lives of our customers, we are seeking to do so in a manner that reduces impact on the environment for a more sustainable future. In line with the theme, Zero Waste, UNIQLO challenges practicing practicing local designers to design a wearable garment made from pre-loved UNIQLO products, with LifeWear at the core of inspiration.
Take part in this design challenge and stand a chance to be part of the 5 winning pieces showcased in a UNIQLO store and be featured on UNIQLO Singapore and Dsg’s social media pages!
- Participants can choose to personally gather or collect pre-loved Uniqlo products from the Uniqlo Office.
- 70% of the participants’ entry should be made out of at least 70% of pre-loved Uniqlo items. Generic waste/recycled items without any logo should make up the remaining portion of the entry.
Contest Eligibility:
- The Contest is open to all practising designers in all disciplines with no minimum years of experience required.
- Portfolios need to be submitted when registering with the same email address used to sign up to the webinar.
- Participants must have attended ‘Unlocking The Power of Clothing – UNIQLO Sustainability’ webinar organised by the Organisers on 20th January 2021.
